This course runs over 2 and 1/2 days - the first two days we discuss the SANS 10139 Code of Practice, and on the 3rd day we revise certain problematic areas that may occur. This revision session is then followed by the final summative assessment - the examination based on SANS 10139 - the 10 modules completed on the previous days. Please refer to the details below for further information. In addition to this, a seperate course conducted during an afternoon session has been added where we deal with Understanding Fire Detection for Hospitals (SANS 322).

Siting of fire detectors on flat ceilings and pitched roofs.

Linear Heat detectors.
Duct smoke detectors.
Power supplies and calculations.
Electro magnetic compatibility.
Limiting false alarms.
